Mark Lincir

Mark Lincir has been with 90:00 Soccer  for six years…serving the first five as Senior Editor before becoming Editor-In-Chief this year. Lincir grew up in Southern California and was an All-CIF selection at Bishop Montgomery High School before moving on to become a four-year starter and All-Conference selection at Cal State University Dominguez Hills. Lincir played professionally in the USL for the Arizona Cotton and the San Fernando Valley Golden Eagles. His playing career came to an abrupt and somewhat tragic end a few years ago when he ruptured his right Achilles Tendon playing in a Coed “B” level recreational game. He hasn’t been the same since. The highlight of his life was spending two weeks in Germany during the 2006 World Cup.

Elliott Spruell

Elliott Spruell was just a small town boy, born and raised in Illinois. He took the midnight train going anywhere….and wound up in Los Angeles, where he recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Sport Management from California State University-Long Beach. Spruell, who never prided him self on his defensive prowess, instead concentrated his energy on obscene hairstyles, scoring goals, and barking at the officials, like any self proclaimed soccer superstar would. Spruell played four years for the Lawrence University Vikings, leading the team in most games missed due to injury. Following his graduation, Spruell was named assistant coach of the Lawrence University program, where his unmatched tactical genius led the squad to three consecutive playoff appearances. Spruell now resides in Redondo Beach, California, where he writes for 90:00 Soccer and coaches at Palos Verdes Peninsula High School. He can still be found at local pitches, trotting around lazily, waiting for the perfect through ball.
