Rob Deyzel

Rob Deyzel is from Southampton, England but currently living in Kampala, Uganda. He has had the privilege of attending over 300 Premiership football matches, attending his first game in 1993. The game was Saints V Chelsea, with Southampton winning 3-1 at the Dell. How times have changed. In Kampala he has been privileged with being the Deputy headteacher of Millennium College! While also living in Uganda, Rob has appeared as a sporting Analyst on national Uganda TV on a show called NTV’s sports bar. Rob plays Uganda national league basketball for the Biston Planets as well as coaching SC Villa the Liverpool of Uganda! Rob is a keen cyclist having cycled across Britain from John O Groats, Scotland to Lands End, England totally 1450km. Overall he loves his sport especially Soccer, and is a massive Southampton fan. All things football.
Tom Marshall

Born and bred in Rochdale in the north of England, 27-year-old Tom Marshall currently lives and works as a journalist in Guadalajara, Mexico.
After studying Latin American Studies at the University of Toronto in Canada, Tom took a job with an English-language Mexican newspaper in the western state of Jalisco.
Tom is currently in the process of researching and writing a book on Mexican football.

Shaun Fuentes
Shaun Fuentes, from Trinidad and Tobago, holds vast experience as Media Officer for the Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Senior National Team since 2000. He served as the Team’s media officer at their debut at the 2006 World Cup Finals in Germany, fulfilling his duties under head coach Leo Beenhakker and team captain Dwight Yorke.
He also serves as communications officer for the Trinidad and Tobago Football Federation and has held the Press Officer role with the Caribbean Football Union. He is also a weekly guest columnist with the Trinidad Guardian where his career began as a freelance correspondent in 1997.
Shaun also served as a FIFA Media Officer at the 2009 FIFA Under 17 Men’s World Cup in Nigeria and 2010 FIFA World Cup Finals in South Africa. He was also the Trinidad and Tobago Press Officer at their appearance at the 2007 FIFA Under 17 Men’s World Cup in South Korea and the 2009 FIFA Under 20 Men’s World Cup in Egypt. He was also a member of the FIFA Media Committee from 2007-2009.
Shaun was head of media relations for the Local Organising Committee at the 2010 FIFA Under 17 Women’s World Cup. Among his duties have also been being a Concacaf Venue media officer for Champions’ League matches for the past three seasons.
His greatest footballing moment has been witnessing T&T’s first qualification for a senior World Cup on November 16,2005 when his country defeated Bahrain 1-0 in the second leg of a qualifying playoff in Manama. Internationally he rates his duties as a FIFA media officer at the Argentina versus Greece encounter with the likes of Lionel Messi and Diego Maradona among his most cherished. And he remembers vividly a Lunch meeting with Brazil legend Pele at age 13 after topping a local radio football quiz.
“Those for me are experiences you cannot put a price on. Generally my passion has kept me here and among my ambitions would be to contribute in some meaningful way towards the development of the game and general well-being regionally and in my homeland.”

Suben Ravindran

Suben Ravindran has been playing soccer since he was 6, he is a coach at the Brazil Football Centre in his native Malaysia. He was a journalist specialising in aviation and military issues and also wrote for the national stock exchange magazine in his country. He loves writing poetry and he is a certified yoga teacher. His claim to fame? Played with World Cup players, patrolled aboard the USS Independence in the South China Sea, been aboard the USS John C. Stennis, risked his life to play a pick-up game in South Africa, beat a bunch of military guys to become a champion in a shooting competition and flew back to his country from a factory in Seattle…the Boeing factory. Kevin Hartmann is an 18 years old Colombian, Law student in the University of Our Lady of Rosary in Bogotá. Keen for soccer since the cradle and committed to the passion with responsibility. Mariano Tomás De Micheli

Mariano has a degree in Sport Journalism. At the moment, he is writing for many Latin-American websites. He writes on many sports, like soccer, tennis, golf, basketball and football. He is 23 years-old and currently resides at Buenos Aires, Argentina, but is looking forward to travelling around the world so as to learn other cultures’ perspective on soccer.

Trevor Kew

Trevor Kew is a Canadian writer and teacher currently based in Yokohama, Japan. He is the author of two young adult novels about soccer – Trading Goals and Sidelined (to be released August 1, 2010) – and numerous articles on soccer, travel and culture. As a lifelong goalkeeper, he has conceded goals on four continents and fouled strikers on at least three. While living and working in Leighton Buzzard, England and playing for the local side, Trevor had the experience of being knocked out of the FA Cup in the preliminary rounds. He is currently attending the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and have a fantastic time.
Juan Arango

Soccer has been an integral part of Juan’s life. Rocked to sleep by tall tales of the Brazil 1970 side and learned to read in Spanish through old editions of El Gráfico that his cousins stashed away, his knowledge of the sport is vast both on and off the pitch.
Juan has been involved in the media industry for the past six years in various functions. A graduate of Florida International University, he has been versatile in this industry and in constant metamorphosis.
Juan currently works at Gol TV as play-by-play announcer as well as host for La Liga 360 and Oh My Gol! He also worked at ESPN International as he covered soccer and tennis there. He was part of the production crew in Bristol, Conn. that worked on the 2006 World Cup.
Juan was the color analyst for the 2009 Gold Cup´s world feed. He has also been a guest on soccershows such as Major League Soccer Talk, Inside the Six, The Third Half, and Inside Soccer.
His experience is also wide having been the Sports Writer for the Bristol Observer and has done freelance work for national publications such as the Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, The Middletown Press, as well as online publications such as Goal.com, La Liga Talk, Serie A Talk, The Barcelona Supporters Group- Miami, and Miami Soccer Examiner.
Katondwaci Marvin

Katondwaci Marvin is 20 years old, working as a Sports Journalist in Uganda Kampala and pursuing a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration at Makerere University. He juggles between work and studies, and is a soccer analyst with Sports TV Uganda and work with Sanyu Fm in Kampala as a sports reporter and Analyst. He started playing football at the age of 5.
