English Premiership Fixture List to be Announced Thursday
While it may seem like the dust is still settling on
the 2004/05 Premiership season, such is the grueling
nature of this game that the fixture list for the 2005/06
is nearing completion and will be announced in full
on Thursday. Last season saw a marquee match-up on the
opening weekend when Manchester United traveled down
to Stamford Bridge to face Chelsea. Chelsea won the
match 1-0 on an early Eidur Gudjohnsen goal and quite
simply never looked back, eventually romping to their
first domestic league title in 50 years. We should be
so lucky to get as eye opening a fixture as that one
was this time around. The whole world will find out
on Thursday if we will.
