Mark Lincir’s MLS Picks – Week 6
Because a couple teams pissed away early one-goal leads,
I ended up splitting the weekend by going 3-3. It didn’t
help my overall record much, but I did finally get into
double digits in the win column. I’m now a not-good,
but certainly not an RSL-type awful 10-18 on the season.
Some curious and quality match ups this weekend that
are hard to predict, but I should come out on top.
Los Angeles Galaxy @ New England Revolution: You can
bet that Landon is already in World Cup preparation
mode and won’t go full tilt against their Eastern
Conference rivals. Taylor Twellman needs to step up
and show why he shouldn’t have been snubbed by
Bruce by going on a goal-scoring binge for the rest
of summer.
Revolution 2-1.
Chicago Fire @ Kansas City Wizards: Chicago has surprised
me with their fight and grit, but Gansler has the boys
from K.C. playing some good soccer.
Wizards 1-0.
FC Dallas @ Houston Dynamo: Brian Ching will leave his
fans for a month after scoring a couple goals against
their biggest challenger in the West.
Houston 2-0.
D.C. United @ Colorado: United is finding its form and
Colorado has yet to put together some very impressive
soccer. Despite being on the road, it’s D.C. 1-0.
Columbus Crew @ Real Salt Lake: Could I possible predict
a 0-0 stalemate since nobody is going to tune in to
see this game anyway. Heck no! Columbus sits back and
counter attacks their way to an ugly, yet effective
2-1 victory.
