Mark Lincir’s MLS Picks – Week 7
I didn’t pick the MLS midweek game this week,
because it wasn’t on television. Attention MLS:
If there’s a game going on, send some f-ing cameras
to it! What the hell did I buy the Direct Kick package
for? Last week I ended up with a winning record going
3-2 on the weekend. It sends me to 13-20 on the year.
This weekend is all over the place so it could be one
of those make or break weekends for my overall record.
I’m taking the midweek game that I didn’t
pick as a win because I would’ve picked FC Dallas
anyway.
Dynamo @ Dallas: Dynamo forward Brian Ching is gone
to train with the U.S. National Team and FC Dallas is
definitely feeling it when they are at home. Dallas
2-1.
Chivas USA @ Revolution: The Revolution will be missing
Clint Dempsey, but Taylor Twellman is on a one-man mission
the rest of the season. Revolution 2-0.
Chicago Fire @ Red Bulls: The Fire are becoming a favorite
of mine even though I can’t name half their starters.
It’s too late for the Red Bulls to petition a
transfer over to the West, so they’re screwed.
Fire 1-0.
Rapids @ Crew: No Mastroeni for a month is going to
hurt the Rapids badly and Columbus got a taste of victory
last weekend in Utah. Crew 1-0.
Wizards @ D.C.: This is the toughest choice of the week.
D.C. is tough at home, but the Wizards are without Wolff
and E.J. from now on. D.C. 2-1.
RSL @ Galaxy: Unless Steve Sampson chooses to play with
less than eleven players, it unlikely that even the
Galaxy can drop points at home against the worst team
in MLS. Galaxy 3-1. |
