Mark Lincir’s MLS Picks – Week 10

I made a point of setting the alarm this morning to wake me up at 10 am so that I would have time to pick the midweek games this time around. It might kill me, but I couldn’t keep taking the midweek games after the fact as victories if I was going to stay true to myself. I went 2-3 on the weekend because somehow Chivas USA won a game and everyone else seemed fit to be tied except D.C. who trounced the Wizards. I’m 22-29 overall and if you happen to be doing any better than me, I’d like to see how so send them over!

Wednesday’s Games
Columbus Crew @ D.C. United: There won’t be any easy games for the Crew this season, and Wednesday night’s match-up is no exception. D.C. is looking like the old, unbeatable D.C. again. D.C. 3-1.

Galaxy @ Rapids: Why can’t the Galaxy win on the road? Is it the hotel food, the small seats on the plane or their coach? Decide for yourself, but you know what I think. Rapids 1-0.

Weekend’s Games
Revolution @ D.C. United: This week could be huge for D.C. United if the can pick up two wins at home over some Eastern Conference rivals, which they will. D.C. 1-0.

Crew @ FC Dallas: It’s a rough week for Sigi and the boys, because Dallas has been heating up as much as their stadium does for Saturday afternoon games. FC Dallas 3-1.

Galaxy @ Dynamo: The Galaxy need to pull out a minor miracle and beat a solid team on the road. The Dynamo cannot afford to drop these points at home against a team that likes the road as much as Landon Donovan likes pressure. Dynamo 2-1.

Red Bulls @ Wizards: The Red Bulls might just be putting it together in time to beat a solid defensive team at home. Gansler’s boys need to bunker down and let the Red Bulls over-commit on offense and then counterattack for the win. Wizards 2-0.

Fire @ RSL: How could the Fire lose to Chivas USA last weekend? They didn’t look good and the massive road trip they started this season out on might finally be catching up to them. Sorry, I forgot that they’re playing RSL. Fire 2-1.

Rapids @ Chivas USA: The Rapids will have a let down after beating the Galaxy at home midweek and gift Bradley another much-needed win. Chivas USA 1-0.
