Mark Lincir’s MLS
Picks – Week 14
I was in Germany for the last couple of weeks and missed
out on picking last week’s MLS games. I refuse
to take them all as losses, and it would be unfair of
me to take any as wins. So what I am doing is just taking
those games out of my overall record. MLS needs to take
a break during the World Cup, it’s just too much
to concentrate on, and my obvious omission of last week’s
picks is proof in the pudding.
I went an amazing 4-1 on my week 12 picks. That improved
me to 32 – 39 on the season. This week features
matches on Hump Day and a few games on the weekend.
WEDNESDAY
Crew @ Red Bulls: The Red Bulls just canned Mo Johnston
and former MLS grinder Richie Williams has taken over.
Is the team going to continue to change out everybody
but Amado, because that’s the real problem. Teams
always seem to win when the coach gets changed. Red
Bulls 1-0.
FC Dallas @ New England: Dallas is tough, but will
struggle on the road against the Revs, especially since
Clint Dempsey is back. New England 2-0.
D.C. United @ Wizards: D.C. might be on the road,
but it won’t matter. United 2-1.
RSL @ Fire: There’s no way that the Fire will
lose to RSL in their new digs. I wonder if it might
be time for a coaching change in Utah? Ya think? Fire
2-0.
Dynamo @ Chivas USA: Razov is on Fire, but the Dynamo
still bring plenty of attacking options at their opponents,
whether it be at home or on the road. Dynamo 1-0.
SATURDAY
Red Bulls @ New England: The Red Bulls will go right
back to their losing ways against the Revs. Revs 1-0.
Galaxy @ Wizards: Landon is sure to be fired up to
dominate now that he’s back in his element and
away from all the pressure and quality soccer. But the
Galaxy are on the road and we all know how that usually
goes. Wizards 2-1.
FC Dallas @ Chivas USA: FC Dallas is going to take their
aggressions out after a midweek loss on Chivas USA.
FC Dallas 3-2..
