If you think that this picture is real, you don’t
know me at all. If you think that I am packing my own
bags to Germany while my wife stands idly by sipping
a glass of Pinot, you obviously have a screw loose.
But I wanted to take you on this journey with me from
the start and this is the only way that I know how.
Everyday after my wife cooks me breakfast at the crack
of 10 am I will have her pack a few articles of clothing
for me until my scheduled departure to Germany in a
few days. Tune in, this isn’t going to be some
“soccer is a kick in the grass” story of
a game I fell in love with last month. This is a journey
of a guy who’s been kicking it for over 30 years
at all levels and is headed over to Europe for one reason:
to party…and oh yeah, to tell you about my experience
at the World Cup. Attn dorks: before you write in with
a complaint – I know that’s two reasons
so shut up and enjoy it!
There’ll be plenty of late nights, all-nighters
and photos that will blow this one away. There’ll
be interviews with people from all over the globe, from
VIPs to frustrated fans who finally get a chance to
have their say. I’ll be in the thick of things
relaying to you just how much fun the World Cup is while
you sit back at home kicking yourself for not getting
that “get out of jail free” card from the
significant other.
The World Cup has everybody’s attention. Forget
the Super Bowl, World Series and even the Olympics,
they pale in comparison to the impact that this tournament
has on the world. So join me on my journey for the next
33 days, you won’t regret it. But beware! You
also won’t ever look at this game the same way
again.
