Mark Lincir's
Month of MAYHEM!

June 14th - Day 8

DAWN PATROL

5 am is the middle of the night for me. Midnight until 10 am is my usual sleep schedule unless I have a ton of stuff to do and am forced to knock it down to 8 or 9 hours. So getting up at 5 am today to leave for Germany was getting up in the middle of the night for me.

I’m not really complaining about it. I just want you to realize that there was a certain amount of sacrifice in preparing to go party in Germany for a couple of weeks, all expenses paid! Sucker!

I want you right there along with me. Whether it’s from your cubicle, home office or local pub. So here’s our schedule to get there:

5 am – Get interrupted from kick-ass party dream (of course my wife is there with me!) by annoying and seldom used alarm clock.

6 am – Get out of bed.

7am – Shower, shave and you-know-what before hopping in the car with disgruntled wife who thinks she deserves to go too.

8 am – Fly to Los Angeles

10 am – 2:59 – Hang out in airport bar lecturing my photographer on how he better act.

3 pm – Board flight to Dusseldorf (11 hours…discuss how far away Amsterdam will be from my hotel with neighboring passengers for much of the flight).

11 am next day – Land in Dusseldorf. Board train for Frankfurt.

1 pm – Finally arrive in Frankfurt. Get cab to hotel. Ask taxi driver how far away Amsterdam is from Frankfurt.

2 pm – Drop off bags in hotel room. Head downstairs to café (bar) to introduce my photographer, who is single, to some friends (Swedish fans).

10 pm – Report back to you guys (at least what I legally can) on how things are going.

Tomorrow: Things get a whole lot better.
